Constitutional Convention During Lunch Today! 12-12:40 pm

Dear Constitutional Delegates,

Counselor Miller and I will be facilitating our annual Constitutional Convention during lunch today!

Please pick up your lunch in the MPR and we will meet at the red white and blue tables in front of the library.

At least one delegate (or alternate) must attend our convention to represent your classroom.

BAKE SALE TODAY AFTER SCHOOL!!!!!!!

Good Morning North Stars!

Student Council officers will host their first bake sale of the year after school today. We will be set up in front of the library facing the lower field.

We will have plenty of goodies for all grades since we will have a 2:45 and 3pm set of items to sell.

We will have lines with cones and caution tape set up for orderly purchasing.

All items are $1.00.

Our Student Council Officer Roles have been assigned! If you have any questions about any clubs or activities, please see your fellow officers or me:

Student Council Officer Roles 19-20 

Our Student Council meetings are always open to any student.  Our activities are also open to any student wanting to help. 

For example, Constellations will begin working on our plan for 19-20. If you would like to help, please let the lead officers or me know and pay attention to the Buzz for reminders of our upcoming meetings.

Soon, we will be launching two NEW school clubs during 3-5 Recess: JAM Club and Chess Club!!!!

Recess Reminders-VERY IMPORTANT!

Good Morning North Stars and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!

I would like to share some very important reminders for you to remember for your success and safety in school:

1) 007 or ANY pretend "shooting" games are NOT allowed at school. Ever.

2) Unwanted physical contact (grabbing one's shoulder, chasing without permission, holding) is NOT allowed in school. If you have any questions, please ask ME! 

3) You are welcome to join ANY game (new or old) as long as you play the entire game. Example: You cannot chase and opt-out of being chased. 

4) Mr. Flores will review the rules of kickball (my favorite game) so everyone has a fantastic time playing.

5) Creative, innovative and new games are WELCOME. However, please be sure to share the rules as newcomers want to play too. 

6) You MAY have some challenges on the playground. I am always willing to help you work out your problems. Please see an ADULT YOU TRUST if you are having trouble working out your hard feelings or thoughts.

7) Absolutely and at all times, do NOT play handball on Room 9 or Miss Hwee's classroom wall during class time. If you have questions about this, ask your teacher. Recess time is okay to play on their classroom walls. 

Have a fantastic Friday! Don't forget about the Bake Sale after school!

If you have  already formed a team, great. If you don't have a team yet, come to the meeting if you can and join others looking for a team.

I apologize in the delay on Student Council Officer "roles" ...I am moving as fast as possible.

That being said, you are all STARS and I welcome any or all of your thoughts, suggestions, and input

We have an incredible team and I hope you are so proud of all that you do and will accomplish in 2019-20.

Constitution Assembly: Wear RED, WHITE AND BLUE DAY on Friday, October 25th

Dear North!

We are getting excited about our Constitutional Convention on Friday, October 18th during lunch. Students will bring their lunch and report to the picnic tables in front of the Library. We will have a red, white and blue treat to thank our 19-20 Delegates for taking their time to reflect, share and represent their classroom constituents' thoughts and input regarding how the 1819 Constitution has addressed their hopes and dreams for North School. 

We look forward to unveiling our 19-20 Constitution on Friday, October 25th at our Constitutional Assembly from 8:45-9:30 in the North MPR (invitation attached).

Please encourage EVERYONE to wear red, white and blue. Our Superintendent Carlomagno, Board of Trustees, North Alumnae and Mayor Shawn Christensen, Mentor, Mr. Larry Raffo, Chief of Police Doug Davis and Classroom Delegates will be participating in our Constitution Assembly.
