North Leadership 2019-20

Hello North STARS,

We hope you enjoyed the Leadership Job Fair on Friday, September 6th to learn more about Student Leader opportunities for this year.

Please take time to think about the attached options which are all due on Friday, September 13th:

1) All students are invited to complete the North Leadership Sign Up form to rank their top five choices for leadership 2019-20. Students will be selected and contacted by the lead teacher or staff member for each leadership group. For example, Mrs. Miller runs the Peacemakers and she will reach out to students excited to be a North Peacekeeper for the 2019-20 school year.  

North Constellations launched last year to create groups of K-5 North Stars to meet, play and support each other at school. Student Leaders will create agendas and schedule a monthly activity for all students to meet in their Constellation groups.

2) 3rd graders who are interested in running for the student council will submit a paragraph in which all students will select officers to present a one-minute speech at our Election Assembly on September 27th at 10:15 in the North MPR.

3) Our 4th and 5th-grade students are invited to submit a paragraph for a staff leadership team to SELECT 4th and 5th-grade student council officers who will join our ELECTED 4th and 5th-grade student council officers.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You may try a leadership role and opt-out if needed. 

Finally, September 9th is our last day to order North Spirit Gear! Our first Blue and Gold spirit day will be on October 11th! Spirit Wear Link

Last Year Leaders! Job Fair Help Needed!

Hi 2018-29 North Star Leaders! If you would like to help at our K-5 job fair FRIDAY 9/6 during lunch on the picnic tables outside of the MPR, please let me know during AM recess!

I am creating a final schedule for student leaders who will stand by a table to answer questions from our future student leaders!
