Good Morning Everyone,
I want to thank all of you for an outstanding job during our lockdown drill yesterday. Our new Chief of Police, Doug Davis and our wonderful HPD officers were very impressed with your performance. As mentioned to some of you, these drills are PRACTICE!!!! This is an excellent job to think about what you did well and how you could improve during a real emergency and/or an upcoming emergency drill.
I’d like to remind you to re-read our Constitution since it has been a while since we talked about it. If your delegates are in the room, please ask them to stand up and read the six articles of our Constitution.
Although I know it is a very exciting time of year, I’d like you to pay special attention to Article 6- Treat Others the Way You Would Like to be Treated.
If you would not like to have your wonderful snack removed from your backpack or lunch bag, please do not consider doing this to someone else. If you are hungry, please let me know ….we have a spare stock of snacks in the main office!
Similarly, if you would not like to be pushed, kicked, touched or shoved, please do not do this to anyone else. This is a firm but friendly reminder: Unwanted Physical Contact is against our school rules- any school, anywhere.
Finally, if you would find it offensive to watch a classmate behave inappropriately at school, please think about your behavior and consider taking a short break to think about what you are about to do.
Again, I am very proud to be your principal and I could not think of a better group of students in the world. Have a wonderful day and feel free to stop by to ask…..should I do this?! Would I want someone to do this to me? Am I hungry?! If so, what else can I do?
Thank you, North Stars! I read each and every one of your report cards which go home with you today. Take time to appreciate the amazing job you have done- I certainly did!
Your proud principal,
Ms. Felt
