Rainy Day Reminders and Umbrella Activity

Good Morning North Stars and Happy Heritage Day!

 

As a reminder, on rainy days, please report to your classrooms by 8:10 vs. the library or MPR. Of course, if you’re in band on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you report to your assigned location by 7:45. As well, if you are a sibling of a band player, you may report to the library on rainy days.

 

If you’re feeling a bit confused, we had a different procedure for Shelter in Place before Thanksgiving vacation.

 

In case it’s raining during recess, please be sure to keep your umbrellas in your classrooms….they should not be in use outside the classroom until you are ready to leave school.

 

If it starts to rain during recess, we will make an all call announcement for you to report to our rainy day options. As always, please wait until an adult is present- EVEN IN THE LIBRARY.

 

If it’s raining during recess and/or lunch, we will follow our rainy day schedule.

Hello, this is Riley Martin, Student Council President and Malia Chen, Student Council Communications Director.

 

Student Council Representatives please read this to your class:

 

            Blue and Gold Star Spirit Day will be rescheduled to January 25th.

 

We are also in the process of rescheduling Crazy Hair Day since it was canceled due to the smoke.

 

Also, we want to make sure that all the students who want to second a teacher for the Spelling Bee, has written their first and last name on a paper, in the office. If not, please do so as soon as possible. Also, please rewrite your name even if you have already done so because some names were not written very clearly.

 

We also will be having a Suggestion Form, where you can write your suggestions and Student Council will consider them- please don’t write anything inappropriate. We will follow up on where you can find the suggestion form.

 

Lastly, we are proud to say that our Lost and Found items were donated to the Fire Victims. Please, make sure you stop by the lost and found, and make sure you don’t have any items in it. The next lost and found due date is December 21st. We would love for everyone to think of some charities that might be in need of clothing and other items.

 

Our next ALL STUDENT COUNCIL AND CLASS REPRESENTAIVE meeting will be on December 11^th during lunch in the Library.

North Spirit Gear Drive STARTS TODAY!!!!!!!!

Hello North Students,

 

My name is Malia Chen and I am your North Student Council Communications Director.

 

From 11/26/18 through 12/5/18, we will be having a spirit gear drive.

 

Throughout the next two weeks, your parents and you are able to purchase North spirit gear via a link https://northschool.hillsborough.california.us.school.studentspiritwear.com/

Principal Felt will send families TODAY.

 

The sale will end at 4:00 PM on 12/5/18, so PLEASE make sure to purchase your gear before then.

 

In addition, Student Council and your Classroom Representatives will be selling water bottles and recycling tote bags for our first spirit fundraising drive (photos attached)! These items would make wonderful holiday gifts and as you can see, we aligned our 1819 North service learning theme “Environment” to the “BOTTLES AND BAGS” spirit gear offerings.

 

Following our ALL Student Council/Classroom Representative meeting TODAY during lunch, your classroom representatives will give each of you an order form to share with your families. All profits for “Bottles and Bags” will go to the North Student Council.

 

As a reminder, purchasing North spirit items is optional, but we would love to see everyone showing some North School spirit! Thank you!

Class Reps, we have a lot to cover and look forward to your input, suggestions and communication back to your classrooms! We will have a pencil and agenda for you to take notes to inform your classmates when your teacher selects a few minutes for you to share.

 

Please pick up your lunch as quickly as you can….if you can’t miss recess time, please find an alternate to attend.
