RECESS ROPE REMINDER

Good morning 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Jump Ropers,

Starting today, Thursday February 28th, each grade will have its OWN labeled long jump rope. Please play with your OWN grade.

If one grade would like to play alternate games, I suggest you create a schedule. For example, 3rd graders could play whirlwind today (Thursday) and Yardstick on Friday.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Firm but Friendly Reminders

Good Morning, North Students.....

Happy Wednesday.....

Before recess today, here are a few important reminders from our North Constitution:

Article 1: Inclusion not exclusion-invite everyone to play!

This includes jump rope games!

Article 6: Treat others the way you want to be treated!

Indian Burns are painful, serious and unwanted physical contact.
Do not use profanity toward your classmates-this is not cool or funny.
Pay attention to your body and who you are running into-safety first!
Do not interfere with other students' games.

If you need support, ask an adult staff member or come to the office.

Please enjoy a safe and happy day!

Monday Buzz! Important! Please Read!

Hi! This is Riley Martin the Student Council President and Malia Chen the Communications Director, and we have an update from our most current Student Council Meeting. Class reps, please read this to your class.

Shark Day is coming up! It will be on March 1st, and you may wear anything that represents sharks. Dressing up is optional, but we hope to see everyone participate.

We are also going to have a Bagel Sale on that same day, March 1st. This sale will not be like our previous popcorn drive. Bagels will not be sold the day of. Instead, there will be tickets that you can buy. These tickets will be available for purchase on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the bagel sale. We will have a few extra bagels for students that did not purchase tickets, but we strongly encourage getting tickets before the drive. You may purchase two bagels per person, max!

In April of 2019 we will hold an all new Student Council officer election for the school year of 2019 to 2020. This process will be similar to the last election, but the current 3rd and 4th grade students will be be elected by the students. Current 2nd graders will be selected by teachers in the 2019-2020 school year. This way the new student council officers will have a chance to "shadow" the current meetings.

As for the Art Contest, please check to make sure that your name is on this spreadsheet if you are participating, click here. A reminder all contest entries are due 3/8/19!

Thank you,

Malia and Riley
